Get ready for an unforgettable experience as Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre proudly hosts its inaugural Pūkaha Wild Weekend! Join us on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October 2025 for two action-packed days of fun, learning, and connection in nature, where you can get up close with rare New Zealand wildlife!
This first-ever Wild Weekend is set to be an annual highlight, offering something special for everyone:
- Heavily discounted entry and guided tours, including great family price packages
- Kiwi Cookie Decorating for the kids – and the young at heart!
- A fun-filled Scavenger Hunt around the nature reserve
- The chance to meet our brand-new kiwi chick at the feed time of 12pm daily – the first to hatch this season!
- Fantastic prizes to be won – including family passes, annual passes, soft toys, and more
- Café packed with delicious fresh food, baking, and barista-made coffee
- Bacon butties straight from the BBQ
