Junior Rangers is Back!

Our popular Pūkaha Junior Rangers Holiday Programme is back and ready for the July school holidays!

Perfect for nature lovers aged 6-12, this is a great way to get tamariki out of the house and into the ngahere these holidays.

About the Programme

Junior Rangers runs during NZ school holidays on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9am – 3pm.

Designed for young nature lovers, each day is spent exploring the Pūkaha Reserve – discovering the forest, learning about native manu (birds), and watching the tuna (longfin eels) being fed.

Each session has a different theme and is flexible to suit the weather and the interests of the group.

Session Dates

Tuesday 7th July – Forest Explorers: Navigation & Environment

Thursday 9th July – Pest Detectives: Tracks, Traps & Tactics

Tuesday 14th July – Matariki: Matauranga and Kaitiakitanga

Thursday 16th July – Wild Guardians: Wildlife at Pūkaha

Spaces fill quickly, so we recommend booking online to secure your child’s spot.
