Visit Pūkaha These School Holidays

FREE transport from Masterton with Tranzit Coachlines

Whether you’re interested in guided tours, junior programs, or self-guided exploration, there’s something for everyone.

The bus will run from Masterton, departing from Tranzit Depot (316 Queen St) on four dates:

– Tuesday 7 July
– Thursday 9 July
– Tuesday 14 July
– Thursday 16 July

Times:
Depart: Tranzit Masterton at 8:15 am
Return: Leaves Pūkaha at 3:00 pm (Bus returns to Tranzit at 3:30 pm)

For Junior Rangers, our trained staff will supervise all children throughout the day – no accompanying adult needed for the bus trip. For general admission, guided tours, and other activities, at least one adult must be present to supervise children.

See conservation in action at Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre on the border between Wairarapa/Tararua.

The Mount Bruce reserve is a restored forest and captive breeding site, home to endangered wildlife such as brown kiwi, pāteke (brown duck), whio (blue duck), takahē, kōkako, kākā, orange-fronted parakeet, tuturuatu (shore plover), and tuna (longfin eels).
