Some of Aotearoa’s rarest manu live right here on your doorstep, and we’d love to see more locals making the most of it. If you live in the Tararua or Wairarapa, anywhere from Norsewood down to Featherston – you can claim 50% off your self-guided entry ticket. Just bring along proof of address (a piece of addressed mail is perfect) and the local rate is yours.

There’s always something happening at Pūkaha. On any visit you can:

• Meet our wildlife up close, from cheeky kākā to kiwi and beyond
• Wander the forest trails and soak up the fresh air
• Bring the tamariki for a run-around and a bit of adventure
