WHAT IS BIOBLITZ?
A BioBlitz is an intensive field survey where visitors help record all living species in a designated area. From 1st August, you’re invited to explore Pūkaha’s 942 hectares and document what you find – birds, plants, insects, fungi, native fish. Every observation contributes real data to conservation research.
When visiting during the weekends, show us your app and only pay $5 for your admission!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
- Download one free app: iNaturalist or eBird
- Visit Pūkaha anytime during mid-July to August 2026
- Spot something? Take a photo and record it in the app
- Your data joins a global biodiversity database
