HALF-PRICE ENTRY
Throughout Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, greet our team in te reo Māori when you arrive and get half-price entry to Pūkaha – all week long. You don’t need to speak it perfectly; you just need to give it a go.
Here at Pūkaha, the ngahere, the wildlife and the language are woven together – many of the names we use for our native species describe how they look, how they behave, and the history they carry. So come learn a few words, meet our manu, and be part of celebrating one of Aotearoa’s official languages.
*This offer is only available from 14–20 September 2026 for self-guided entry tickets.
FOR TAMARIKI: TE REO NATURE CHALLENGE
There’s something for the tamariki too! Every child gets a free Te Reo Nature Challenge sheet to take on the trails – count to ten in te reo, learn colours, discover what “ngahere” means, and find the Māori names of our native manu. There’s a colouring-in competition too: finish your sheet, hand it in at reception to claim a treat, and go in the draw to win a family return pass. Learning te reo, one adventure at a time.
