Manukura the rare white kiwi is back at Pukaha, watch this space as there could be further vet visits.

Manukura, the rare white kiwi returned to Pukaha Mount Bruce on Friday May the 4th. Manukura had been at Wildbase recovery hospital since February after being diagnosed with a beak infection that had then entered her blood stream. Although there is no sign of the infection in any recent test, Manukura is still in recovery mode. At the moment she can be seen in the nocturnal kiwi house aviary at Pukaha Mount Bruce. There may be times Manukura will have to be away for on-going vet visits or small breaks from the nocturnal house aviary while she recovers. We will do our best to keep you updated here or on both Pukaha Mount Bruce's facebook page and Manukura, little white kiwi facebook page. The Pukaha team is thrilled she is home and thank everyone for all the warm wishes and kind thoughts.
